For no apparent reason. Usually when I am not at the machine. I have to reset or sometime reboot.
Any idea where to look in event logs etc just to try to determine whats wrong.
People have suggested that it might be a power problem, or a mother borad probm

there could be quite ano. of reasons:
1. missing files on your operating system
2. bad sectors on your hard disk
3. some other hardware problem like..bad RAM or CPU heating(check if the fan is running properly)
4. less powered PSU!

soln
1. Reinstall XP
2. you can see in the event log for bad sector thing and get another hard disk or reformat it and the utility will block bad sectors.
3. there are many utilities available to check ram
4. if u have a PSU less than 300W get a larger one..as comps of nowadays require much more power!!
