My hard drive is partitioned. Windows XP is in C: and Windows Vista Beta is in D:. Both work ok, but i want to unistall the beta version of Vista and eliminate the boot menu screen. I want it to start normally as it used to before i installed Vista Beta. Can i just format D from XP? Will that eliminate the boot prompt screen?

Formatting D: won't stop the boot menu, it will still come up with that but the option for windows vista won't work anymore.

You'll need to go back to the partitioning software or edit the bootmenu files yoruself.
