Good for you. What age are you? The average bus driver is liable to have cardiac, blood pressure, and obesity problems [due to inactivity and shift working] by the time he reaches 45.
Get out while you can.......money isn't everything.

Voc rehab and emloyment offices have tests to take to see what kinds of jobs suit your personality/skills. Are you a public bus driver? Do you want to stop all together or just drive a different kind of people? I have never thought bus drivers made much money. If you were working for the government/cival service you would make more money and you would be able to get good benefits too. Good retirement plan.

If you still like driving you could try delivery for say UPS or any of their competition. Tow trucks, limos, or even dispatching.
The postal service is good field to make a living at. Or possibly the DMV being that you have experience somewhat in that area. Driving instruction, insurance investigator, and if all else fails bar-tending is always an option.
Good luck! And remember it is easier to renew your commercial license even though you aren't needing it to make your living anymore. Letting it lapse would mean retesting if you need to return to driving again. I still have mine and haven't driven a bus in 10 years.

Go to your local library and ask the librarian about career resources. You can look into some of those tests that help you determine the things you're good at if you don't already know.If you do know the things that you're good at, take some initiative and try to go for careers doing something you like. You might have to gather more education or experience, but get it doing something that makes you smile when you wake up in the morning. Good luck.

give becoming a driving instructor a try.

having been a bus driver, you have the patience and the experience to do it.

the pay is rewarding, and you do it at your own time.
