I like this girl in my class for about 3 months now. We talk a lot at school and on the net but so far nothing happened. I give her all these subtile messages but she doesn't seem to mind them. She won't go to the Junior prom, that's tommorow and she doesn't go out much cause she-s one of those goth things. We get along great and she's told me things that she hasn't told anybody ever before. We share secrets, joys and sorrows but are still not toghether. If I try to make that first step I'm affraid she'll turn me down. She really means a lot to me and I think I mean something to her. What do I do?

Do something small, like ask her if she wants to rent a movie (her choice) and just chill... see what her body language tells you.
Since she doesnt go out much its harder to ask her to go places but ask her to do things, not a "date' as much as hangin out. Once you get a better feel for her feelings then you may see an opportunity

I think you just need to enjoy her friendship for now and get to know her better. I know 3 months seems a long time when you are waiting or hoping for something. But relationships are so complex that you might not know about her all that you should before taking that big step of showing her your deep feelings. In time you can start giving her some hints. Like asking her for a date. If she says no, you can ask why and that would give you a better idea wether she sees you like a very good friend or she is just shy. Good luck to you both.

Well, if you two are both alone, tell her you want to be more than friends. By the way it sounds, it seems like she likely likes you but is too shy to tell you. Talk to her about it. If she turns you down just like that, she isn't a good person anyways.

i say take a chance and tell her how you truly feel about her. your friendship seems very strong and if it truly is, even if she doesn't share your romantic feelings at least the friendship will last.
