for some reason i can't make them right. the outside burns, the inside is mush. i've been told it could be an old pan or the mix.
how do you make them?

You probably have the pan on too high. If you're using butter, you want the pan to heat just so that the butter starts to bubble a tiny bit on the top. Then it's hot enough to make the pancakes golden without burning them up. It could also be your mix. Are you using a box mix or a homeade one? If you have too much milk, they will burn quicker, for sure.

U should not make them that big, wait until they start bubbling, then flip them. And DONT use the spray stuff that greases the pan. it has a low burning temperature. use milk instead of water in the mix, first of all, it helps with the cooking, and they taste better that way.

Likely making the batter too thick and/or the pan is too hot, if the inside isn;t cooked and the outside is overcooked.

get a grill pan oil it all up once you see the bubbles in the pancakes flip it keep watching because the second side cooks faster than the first

1 cup flour
1 egg
1 1/2 cups milk
pinch of salt

and by the way this is the (thin pancakes).....Good luck

From scratch. It's easy and tastes much better than any mix. Find in almost any cook book.

the best way is to go to ihop and stop trying to make our own cause u obviously suck at it so spend 10 bucks and get good ones from ihop

Put the fire lower, so that they cook slower. And don't drop so much batter.

WANNA TRY SOMETHING GOOD , MY LATE HUNGARIAN GREAT GRANDMA TOOK ....... FLOUR , MILK , EGGS , SUGAR ,.VANILLA MIX ALL TOGETHER MAKE A BATTER , MAKE SURE A LIL THICK ...THEN OIL YOUR SKILLET THEN PLACE BATTER IN SKILLET .mmmmmmm!!!! GOOD
