Thats easy, because the man / woman who drew dumbo had very large ears nad had the mickey taken out of them about their ears so they made the thing have bigger ears so they can say " WELL ACCTULLY DUMBO HAS BIGGER EARS THAN ME SO NO MY FIREND I DONT HAVE THE BIGGEST EARS IN THE WORLD "
