I have suddenly started being interested once again in dating however I am not crazy about the clubs scene. I am wondering if anyone out there has ever tried and been successful meeting someone in the Yahoo personals.

Well, I've met a few. We didn't click. It's kind of funny. Alot of them post pictures of themselves when they were much younger, and when you finally meet them, they are much older, but they tell themselves they still look the same.

Yes, I tried it and am now happily married to him for two years. I did have to sort out a few weirdos, and had dated two others I had met though YP. I think it is a good way to get back out there in the dating scene. Be honest about who you are, where you are, and what you are looking for and you'll do ok.

Tried it. No luck. Most of the guys are just interested in cyber sex anyway. Met a few in person. Made one good friend, was molested by one, the other two weren't interested in me because I'm not a Barbie doll.
If you go there, be very careful and meet in public. Take no excuses for meeting anywhere else.

OH yeah I tried it. Met a very handsome outgoing man on it too. We quickly became friends and sometimes more. But now he is my best male friend. Who tells me years after Ive now been happily married w a new born, that he regrets that we found eachother during a hard time in his life because he wanted more but at the time couldnt handle it..lol oh well his loss we are still great friends. Met my husband in a chat room though a local chat room on yahoo under Regional..And he is my heart and soul.

I met someone from Yahoo personals and even ended up being married for a little bit. It didn't quite work out, but he's a great guy. You should go for it. I had a lot of fun with it.

yes I have tried it and there are a lot of interesting people on there, but you have to be careful, do not meet one of them alone for the first time.

Yes I have, but like any other online dating service it depends who you meet. I never met anyone I was truly interested in.

I've tried it. It's a good place to "shop" if nothing else. You can also play around with your search req. & see if anything else catches your eye.
