I put the lights out in my kids' bedroom and had a good look - I think she has put her Christmas tree up - has she lost the plot do you think?

Cromwell passed a law in 1643 banning Christmas and it is still legal in certain parts of the country to break down the front door of a suspected Chritmas-o-holic, pull their tree out into the street and burn both the heretic and their tree.
I think Christmas should start on December 24th and finish on Dec 30th. Bah Humbug !

PS please check with your local Health and Safety officials before applying the 1643 law.

wow sooooo nosey!!!!!!
I really want to put my decorations up and make the house look sparkly and happy but I do think it is a little early for me personally!! Its different for everyone.
I usually start my Christmas shopping in August and to get in the mood play Christmas music every now and then for about two weeks. Gets me in the mood. Any one thinking that August is a little early that's understandable. But this way I avoid rushing around in December when every one else is and by spreading the shopping out over 5 months I can be more relaxed about it and not get stressed!!
I will put my decorations after my dad's birthday on the 13th December!! The kids finish school on the 18th so they can help out. Give them something to do!!
Don't worry your cousin is not weird, Just feeling the Christmas spirit a little earlier than most!!

i've already seen some fake reindeers.. its tragically early!

you'd think the novelty would've worn off well before christmas putting them up this early.. but then i grew up in a family who's tree's only up around 20th december. The idea was to keep it special..

dunno if she's lost the plot. Maybe she's just a little over keen?!

Damn, your nosey!!

It's her home, it's her business. So what?

Christmas isn't a plot. It happens to be the celebration of our Lords birth. Some people celebrate all year long.

Maybe, just may be this cousin of yours has good reason to have it up early. It could be many many reasons why.

Hell, this one florist in my city is already selling trees!!

Gosh, mind your own business.

She might want to be the 'First' to show her display. Or perhaps she's feeling lonely and hopes you'll notice and go over for a cuppa and a chat about the coming festivities.

What does it matter.it's her house and family, if she wants to start getting into the spirit of Christmas, then let her. I suggest that you stop being nosey.
