And to be very specific, I'm thinking of that publicly acknowledged atheist Bill Gates - are you all set to live your lives without Microsoft?

Wow, some delightfully hot-headed responses here. I'm not sure how asking a question presupposes my wish to enforce a particular answer on people. And I'm an atheist myself, for anyone who assumed otherwise. It's nice to know that it's possible to ask a question that doesn't disclose what my own beliefs are.

I think you all should - why not start with not using electricity, it was discovered by an atheist - then of course that would then show that darn atheist Thomas Edison a thing or two by you not using light bulbs. And the list just continues to more glorious stuff - heck, why not just move to the mountains and live off of the land - that would pretty much cover it.PRAISE BE TO JESUS!!!!
It's stupid suggestions like yours that make it impossible people to take religion seriously.

I asked a similar question some time ago, and the majority of answers was "I'll pray for them to see the light." I outed a lot of atheists, people I didn't even know were atheists until I did some research. I mentioned Gates, too, and someone actually said - "Who told you he was an atheist? He married a Catholic." As if no one who's Catholic could ever love an atheist or something...

MY answer is - they'd miss out on a lot of entertainment if they did..

How is it that you come to ask this question?

That is, you are not a Christian, and yet you are asking about how all Christians should operate. Which means that you are placing yourself in a strange and dangerous position. It is a less extreme example of, "Should Jews be sent to live in the ghettoes of Warsaw?" That is, somebody outside of a community, asking what that community should do with itself, is rarely a good thing. It borders on--if not outright becomes--what is known as fascism.

To answer your question directly, though, this is what I say: It's none of your business. Attend to your own life and what you should do.

No, they should most definitely NOT! This is a free world, and everyone should be allowed to offer whatever they want, as long as they don't break the laws. If by 'boycotting' you mean just not buy it, then that's okay. If by 'boycotting' you mean lobbying for them to fail, then NO. Think that that would give unbelievers the right to do the same with Christian producers and makers...

That is a blurry line in Christianity. You are to remove yourself from that which is of the world. I would imagine that includes, movies, music, computers in general as well as the software that goes with it. However, I think if you appreciate things for what they are and do not place more importance on things than you do God and you do not allow said movies, music, etc to move you away from God, then it should be made clear that most things are allowed in moderation.

OBSOLUTELY NOT! You should not be persecuting people because of their religion, or the lack thereof. Of someone chooses to believe in zero, one, or more deities, that's their business: not yours.

Let them, in reality, these boycots only bring attentionto how foolish they look. I support atheists myself, and I refuse to pay anything to christians.

Are you kidding? We'd be missing an opportunity to share Christ with those people ... remember that Jesus had to actually go to those "sinfilled" parties in order to reach the sinners.

He's still a good man. Look at all the charitable works he performs.
