What sort of foods are best for brain nutrition? I am doing a large amount of school work and am also participate often in mathematical challenges, so anything that will boost my brainpower would be excellent.

foods such as chicken is rich in amino acids which help fuel the brain. complex carbs also keep the stomach satisfied so your brain performs at its peak. a good suggestion is peanut butter. Another thing you might consider is green tea because it contains just the right amount of caffeine to help you stay alert without the caffeine overdose and crash. also eat foods rich in monosaturated fat such as nuts( peanut butter also falls under this category). eat nuts in small doses though because they are high in calories.

Fish oils, which are high on Omega-3.
If you don't take supplements, eat salmon, cod, and even light canned white tuna.

And of course, take your B vitamins and proteins. Eat eggs, chicken, bananas, avocados.
