Five months before the wedding we were fighting constantly about a lot of stupid things, like what the color of the walls would be on our bathroom or how to buy the perfect toilet (this is no joke...), one day while I was inside our soon to be home, I was getting angrier by the minute because one of the carpenters was insisting on needing more money which I didn't have; that same day we were having dinner with both our families for a formal proposal and so that my father in law asked for my hand in marriage for his son (this is traditional were I am from), so I called my fiancee and told him about the carpenter and he told me to handle it myself since he was at work.
We both started shouting on the phone, and things got really heated. I hung up and by the time we had to go to dinner I didn't know if he was going to show up or not.
Surely enough, there he was, standing outside the restaurant with my father in law, and as soon as I saw him I knew we were going to be ok.
All of this just to tell you that it is ok to have mixed feelings about getting married, you are starting a new life and parting with the old one can be stressful, so don't worry about it, think about how much you love the person and whenever you get nervous breathe and try to concentrate on that.
Good luck!

It wasn't me, but rather my daughter. She was engaged and I was sensing that she was not happy. I still remember just casually mentioning to her that I was seeing a change in her. From that came the realization that she felt trapped by the engagement and as a result of talking to her fiance' they broke it off. It's important to grow with each experience and work on knowing what will make you the best person you can be.

I was engaged to a man many years ago. When it came time to pick my wedding dress (I waited 3 weeks prior to the wedding to get my dress) my former fiance came with me. I came out of the dressing room in the dress and he put his arms around me and told me how beautiful I looked. I looked in the mirror at our reflections and I thought to myself, I cannot marry this man who I don't even love. To make a long story short, I told him that I no longer wanted to marry him because I did not love him anymore...and this was 2 weeks till the wedding. I made a very good decision so please don't feel sorry for my ex-fiance. I am currently happily married to the man of my dreams

Everyone has doubts. Better to prolong the engagement until you are both ready than to start a marriage that may fail.

never, i knew that my husband was the only person in world i wanted to spend the rest of my life with. If you having doubts already maybe you rushed into the engagement.

Sure everyone wonders, at some point, if they are doing the right thing.
But if the feelings continue, this may be one of those "red flags".

Yep. I got married anyway.
I think lots of people go through that because it's such a huge life change.
