Humidity is the amount of water vapour in the air. Knowing that I guess it should be obvious why it is higher near the sea...

Is teh percent amount of vapor water in the air, but; Like a Rain Forest more humidity will than a desert, but for example near a SEA maybe will have more humidity than a desert, BUT some times if you have a beach and a desert closer you will have less humidity.
