i've been dating this guy for 4 months but we've never really talked about our relationship, though we've both said that we aren't seeing anyone else. My friends are telling me that just because im dating or sleeping with someone it doesn't mean that you are bf/gf so i was wondering about your opinion. If you've been dating (and sleeping) with someone for this long do you consider yourself to be bf/gf?

Not necessarily. Dating for 4 or 5 months still might be seeing whether or not the person is compatable or not before moving to a new level of comittment.

It sounds to me right now that you are "exclusive". Basically, that is a step up from dating and in the right direction for bf/gf stage.

If you feel like you want something more from it, maybe ask him about it. Sleeping together is tecnhically still in the dating stage, though some save it for the bf/gf stage. I'd say around 3-5 months is a good time to decide whether to move on to being a bf or gf. If not, the relationship is going no where and there is no sort of committment to each other and not really any point in being exclusive.

All the best. Hope that clears it up.

Going out is often the main complicated.. in case you're youthful, like highschool and youthful.. many times it potential which you're committed to that one individual.. yet once you're older and greater mature, that's a one time subject, or replace into something else. courting, the 2d maximum complicated lower back, comparable with the being youthful subject... and as for adults, courting is extremely open.. finding on the region of path. bf/gf going stable, fantastically plenty.. if there have been one term, maximum of much less human beings in this worldwide would be at a loss for words.. yet existence is bigoted, so therefor.. it must be problematic.

If you go on 4 dates or more then you can assume that something is getting a lil serious. I'm in the sam situation. I let her know that I dont want a relation ship but at the same time you dont have to give me sex if you dont want. As long as the air is clear no one can say anything. You dont' want to hurt anyone.

where i am from you use the phrase, 'so and so is dating' to described a couple that is boyfriend and girlfriend. so yea i see it as that.

but i have heard of people thinking that dating is like dating around with multiple people.

i guess you have to decide on that yourself.

if u go somewhere without your significant other and more than three people ask you where they are you are dateing. Dateing is nothing more than two people that everyone thinks is normal to see together that care for eachother

i'd unofficially consider it but i i wouldnt tell pppl that until he actually asked or i discussed it with him. bf/gf is liek more boundries but dating is kinda liek an open relationship even if u say ur not dating anyone else

you are not b/f or g/f until both of you dicuss it. never take this assumption for granted. i have seen so many females assume they are someone's girlfriend only to end up pissing the guy off.
and yes, real men still ask you. the last two guys i dated asked me if it was official if we were b/f and g/f. and i'm 29.
