I don't know exactly there are so many different sects of Hindus just like Christians. I am A follower of Krishna and we pray incessantly always thinking of His Holy Name. We chant his name on Beads for a little over two hours a day and then we try to be conscious of Him thorough all of our activities. We have a morning worship with singing and prayers and also in the evening. We do not pray for things through. We know He is taking care of all of our needs. We pray to always be engaged in His devotional service. We also pray for others eternal benefit and how to help them. for more info go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com for the original Hindu teachings, Krishna Consciousness, and universal truths

as our culture says , there r prayers in morning and evening, but if u want my opinion then i would say that 1 time is sufficient in todays time, provided u r actually praying when u pray, if not then it hardly matters even if u pray countless of times

There is no obligation on a Hindu regarding the number of time and the number of gods that he/she may believe in. As such there is no law about anything and no base on which Hinduism stands........ then why this question
