It is kind of like killing two birds witth one stone...... but in reality those who do that.... usually are young or not really mannered. The guys in the restroom will kind of look funny or think "whatever" about those who do. Its kind of disrespectful in guy world as the guys with class or are mature don't feel the need to do so. Doesn't matter where...... redneck bar to upscale.... it marks you in the guy monkey thing.

I am puzzled by guys who spit everywhere. You can't walk through a parking lot without seeing spit slicks all over, and you see guys at intersections cracking their door just to spit.
I have wondered if they think it unmanly to swallow mucus, if it makes them feel like Linda Lovelace, or what. It's not just at the urinal. It's every place.

I guess they do it because they like to or need to spit, and doing it in the bathroom in the urinal is the polite thing to do, as opposed to doing it out in public.

I want to know why guys spit at all? I mean I don't spit unless I've got something in my mouth I don't want to swallow.. and that's not very often!

sometimes, you 've got something in you throat, and it needs to be cleared out, so you kill two birds with one stone by spitting in the urinal.

It is to establish ownership of the small territory that they have moved into, as the male needs to feel secure and in control before exposing his willy and starting to urinate, as this makes him vulnerable to attack.
As chaps the world over will know, your unable to pee if you feel tense or worried while standing there; You have to feel safe, and 'in charge'.
Finally, the muscles that control the flow of urine, the urinary sphincter, needs to relax to let the flow 'go' ... and again you need to feel safe, secure and in control.
Go up to a man peeing and shout 'BOO'... and you will see him stop peeing as his sphincters tighten all over his body, and he goes into 'fight or flight' reflex.
His willy will also shrink, as blood gets pumped to his muscles, and his manufacture of adrenaline will increase.

I don't know and I've often wondered that before...it's almost like a ritual or a Pavlovian ritual that lets them pee.
