I only choose not to answer questions that are obviously set up to be inflammatory or that I have no honest answer for. I like the ones that make me think though. What good is a brain if you do not get to use it every now and again.

personal opinion but disagree. will answer the questions I can but will ignore the rest for I have no wisdom, knowledge, or intelligent answer for that question. if I ask a specific question and there are none who have any idea as to what the answer is why waste time in answering. had this happen and was a waste of my time to read the answers.

That would be very dishonest. To answer the 'easy ones' and leave the hard ones. If I don't answer a question, that's either because I'm not interested, or I don't know anything about it. Either case, they don't make me think.

Not necessarily. That's a generalization on your part. Think about that!
On the other hand, obviously, your question did not require a lot of thought!

Sometimes they're irrelevant. For example, a question about sex won't be relevant to a 9 year old or even a eunuch.

did you ever think it's because they CAN'T answer the question and that's what's making them think about it?

sometimes the questions posted on this site can be complicated, and the answer can be too long to post.

Sometimes, sometimes the questions are so stupid they don't deserve an answer.
