Have a nice time!

My boss has been calling me by the wrong name for over a year now. There are two of us in the building who both have brown hair and are of similar builds - but the similarities end there. However, she has been mixing up our names the entire time, and no amount of correcting seems to be getting through. My "twin" and I just laugh at it now. On the last day of school (I'm a teacher), last year, we wore giant name badges all day and she didn't even ask us about them. Argh. I blame it on senility, but in my opinion if I respect you enough to know your name, and know how to pronounce it correctly, I expect you to show me the same respect. At the beginning of the school year I drive my students crazy asking them to clarify their names if they're spelled or pronounced unusually, but by the end of September I'm calling every single student by their name AND PRONOUNCING IT CORRECTLY, no matter how unusual or foreign. It's a matter of respect.

All the time. I always get mad about it since the people should know better to call by the wrong name.

Of course, my mom calls me by my sisters name and my first and last name are African (but not hard to pronounce) but subsitutes always mispronounce my name i bet on it with my class mates that they'll say it wrong but it hasn't happened lately.

Sure. I pretty much let it go if it's someone I don't have much contact with or ever will again. If it's somebody I would run into a lot, I have made conversation with them and tried to insert my name into the conversation, like this: "I tried to fix the faucet and realized, '(name), you are no plumber!' "
Hopefully they'll get the hint.

All the time. I just politely correct the person and try not to make a big deal out of it. Although, sometimes it does become rather annoying.

Yep. Not only by my family, but by teachers too.
My name is "Katrina". It's not that hard, and now it's famous because of the hurricane. Yet, I've been called "Katie", "Katheryn", "Katarina", and anything else you could possibly begin with a K for years by teachers.
It annoys me a bit, but I don't take it seriously enough to go full out and correct them.
