The French Caribbean culture as you say is the culture found in Guadeloupe and Martinique.
I'm from Guadeloupe, myself and I can tell you that though officially French, our everyday lives are different from French people's. We have a mixed culture with French, African and Amerindian traditions. it is obvious through our vernacular language (creole), our typical dishes, our music etc....

Absolutely chic and fabulous! My family owns a villa on St. Barth's and my husband and I go a few times a year. It is Heaven! You feel as if you are in Paris, but on an island. The shopping, the cuisine, the entire culture is unique. Very fun place.
