They say 2 years but every German Shepherd I have had has continued growing until 3 years. Maybe you have a giant breed - I have one and they do get big. A good indication of whether your dog will be a big one is to look at the size of his feet - big solid paws indicate a big solid dog xxx

Anything up to 2 years. You'll need to make sure that he's not growing too fast so his bones develop normally and he won't have any health problems later on. If you're unsure, check with your vet or the breeder!
