I know exactly how you feel. I grew up feeling a bit alienated in that our household was not that religious. I felt left out that I didn't have the same cultural and social connection that my friends seemed to have through their religion. It can also make you feel judged by your friends and their parents that you are not as good as them.

The truth is that they do indeed have something you don't with their religion and the cultural and social experiences associated with their religion. My best advise is to simply accept that fact and to confidently celebrate and take pride in who you are for what you are.

Well, your parents are clearly letting you choose your religion, as soon as you can, research about the major religions and choose for yourself.

I understand that to become a Jew you have to be married to one or at least indoctrinated by a Rabi, but don't let that discourage you.

I would recommend reading.
The bible: In order to evaluate Christians and Catholics.
The Koran: In order to evaluate Muslims.
The Torah: For Judaism.
The history of Krishna: For Hinduism.
The Tao: For Taoism:
"The Gatless Gate": for Zen Buddhism.

Mmmm, i don't know of a good book for Traditional Buddhism, maybe going to the nearest by temple (Buddhist that is) and asking a priest.

And then of course, you may decide, after reading all that, that you were better off being an atheist.

In any case, I am convinced that good decisions are only possible with good information at your disposal, so, get informed and make your decision.

¿Why choosing a religion at all?, Well, I think that religion fills the gap between what we face and what we understand, and that is a big gap to be filled.

So, they could be both right. The problem is that religion is such a personal thing and nearly everyone has different views what you should do is start talking not only to christians but to people of all religions. As you do this you will find yourself to sway towards one idea. That is what I did and it seemed to work.

Well my suggestion would be to research all carefully and find the one that resonates within you. You obviously have a computer so just google search religions and see what you can find out. There are so many out there that you may be looking and questioning for a long time to come.

each physique suffers in spite of the undeniable fact that this is way less intense in case you could go through with Christ. Self Sacrifice is sturdy for the soul, concepts and physique. people do those issues in helping others. Sacrifice slightly your money and provide some to somebody who hasn't any. offering your face isn't area of christianity. this is popping the different cheek. In different words entering into fisticuffs over a war of words is stupid. Fasting isn't meant to be for ravenous. the only speedy that works is the only you do good in accordance to Scripture to get God to circulate on your behalf. fasting additionally, is a healthful workout. this is sturdy for the physique to circulate with out nutrition now and lower back and allow the physique sparkling its equipment out. no person in Christianity is offering up their life to suffering needlessly. it relatively is no longer a load of crap in spite of the undeniable fact that this is following the commandments of God in looking after our neighbour, serving, God, Staying healthful, etc. somewhat extra study might do you sturdy until now you wrongly grant an invalid rationalization.

Dear .....
Do your own search on the true religion and judge it with you Intelligence than emotions or what your parents or brother believe.
You are not going to lose if you read about different religions.

Think about it for a while, it's not easy to decide so take that time for youself and your ind and feelings. Nobody is pressuring you but yourself, and don't do that because to believe in something you must really take your time to think about it. You are independant and free to believe in whatever you want. Don't feel pressured by the people that surround because this is about you, just you. Take that time, trust me. Wish you luck.

Just because your parents don't go to church does not mean that you dont' have to. You do not have to follow people, but what you do need to do is follow God. Focus on God and not on the people who are causing you confusion. Your brother is going down a very dark path, that you do not have to follow. Don't live your life according to the people arouond you, but live your life for the Lord who will not mis lead you ever!!

Research the religions and you'll find Christians are basically Jews who think Christ is the messiah. As for atheism do you really think something could come out of nothing. If earth were 1 degree closer to the sun it would be too hot to support life. 1 degree farther and it would be too cold. Do really think that percision could happen by chance?

Research the religions you are interested in. It'll come to you. You aren't supposed to go blindly into one religion or the other just because someone says it's good, ask questions.
