He taught us how to pray and one of the things he taught us to pray for is that his Father's will be done on earth and in heaven. What is God's will for the earth? It is the same purpose that he had since man's creation---for the whole earth to become a paradise like the garden of Eden, and for all mankind to become perfect in body and mind and to live forever in peace and security.
God's heavenly government will soon accomplish this. Then the "Lord's Prayer will be answered. ( MATTHEW 6:9-13)

The greatest commandment(s)

Mark 12:28-34
28One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

29"The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

That God loved us enough to become human and experience our suffering, and offered to take our sins on himself. What a gift.
