My Pug Does that too. My Brother's Border collie as well. Your dog is just very happy to see you. My Mother in Law's Shih Tzu Dances for her when she gets home. It is all just a way of Your Doggie telling you he loves & missed you and is happy you came back.

Do you pet the dog and show it love and attention when it does this? If so then you are reinforcing the behavior and teaching it to do this. If you want to teach it to stop this behavior then ignore the dog when it does this. You may have to also tell it to stop and then ignor. It will learn. As soon as the behavior you want is achieved then pet and give attention and reinforce the behavior that you want.

Your dog gets excited. It is their way of showing affection. Just imagine how kids behave when they see their parents back home after work. To know more visit www.dogsvets.net

Apart from the fact that he loves you and is excited to see you, he probably looks forward to getting something to eat from you, too.. My friend's dog does it for biscuits!

Because he is happy to see you. Remember that you are his "world" and he loves you with every beat of his heart. Our pets depend on us for everything and love affection and love to be fed and love us to walk them each day and everything about us.
