The boy doesnt need to be fixed but it would be better since even tho the female is fixed if the male has over active hormones he will still try to mount the female and they still could get stuck but she wouldnt have puppies and the male runs the risk of hurting himself while being stuck. It isnt very common for this to happen but it can happen so it would be best to do them both. One of my males is very lets say nuts. and even when there is no female around he has a special stuffed bear that he will carry around and do things with as if it were a female dog. If it wasnt for the fact that he is an AKC doberman and is used for breeding I would definitly get him fixed. I am just glad he uses his stuffed bear and not my leg.

Both dogs should definately be fixed. The girl will not go in heat and can not have puppies, and not get cancer. the male will be more likely to not "mark" if hes a puppy, he wont be prone to run off when he smells another girl in heat, and he also will not be able to get testicular cancer or an infection

Hiya
Well you really need to have both your dogs done, Male and Female, its best that way if you don't want puppys. If you leave the Male and not get him done,,, well i think you know that he will still try it with the female. Good Luck

the male should be neutered too...
neuter males at 8-10 months
spay females at 6 months

if you dont neuter the male he will start spraying (marking) territory and you dont want that - also he will be more agressive
an unspayed female will go into heat (bleed) and be annoying..
both animals if unfixed have more health risks and behavioral problem so ideally you will want to get them both fixed... call the vets for prices

if you 'operate' or nueter the female then they wont be able to have any puppies but it would probably be a good idea to get your boy pup fixed too casue otherwise he is going to have the hormones adn will be trying to get ehr pregnant(like he will mount her all the time, and if she wont let him he will hump your legs... no lie, my cousins dog did it til they got him fixed adn pretty much took away his sex drive.)

You should neuter the boy and spay the girl. It allows for them to be not so susceptable to disease, makes them easier to train and they'll get along with one another better. Remember to love them daily. You can get away with only doing one of them, but you should have them both done. good luck.

You need to have both male and female fixed. This will make for more healthier and loving pets. They will also get along much better.

ALL dogs need to be spayed and neutered. Both dogs need the surgery.

All pets should be spayed or neutered. Not only for population control, but they are healthier and happier pets.
