You didn't say why you were stopped. If you had an accident then you could go to jail epically if anybody was hurt. If no accident then it depends on the magistrates.
If your working 300% of your weekly earnings £ 1000.00 fine 12 month ban. If your not working still 300% £ 200 but 2 year ban and community service. Basically its what ever will hurt you the most. The crunch will come later when you want insurance.
See you have just joined the site You will have plenty of time to answer questions. Not sure if broadband is available in Durham or the Scrubs LOL
I'm not a magistrate but I know someone who is.

You will get a minimum12 month ban and a fine. You say you have been driving for 18 years with a clean licence but that doesn't mean anything. This will also stay on your licence for 10 years. Just don't drink and drive it isn't worth it. I wonder if you have done this before but never been caught??

Mandatory 12 month ban, reduced to 9 if you partake in the drink drivers course, open to 1st time offenders in agreement with the probation service.
Your reading was almost twice the legal limit, but take comfort, I caught a man last weekend with a reading of 140.....nice!
Also about £150 - £200 fine.

You are a naughty person and obviously old enough to know better ! It couldn't have been the first time you have been driving "under the influence" , it is the first time you got caught !
They should through the book at you ( which they will unless you can afford some cleverdick lawyer ).
I hope you don't even suck on a "brandysnap" before you get behind the wheel again in the future !

I don't care how long you've had a clean licence, you should get band for at least five years and have to re-sit your driving test after it. where completely in control of what you where doing, how would you feel if you hurt or killed some-one when you had been drinking.

I would guess 6 points, at least £1000 fine and an 18 - 24 month ban.
It serves you right.

If you have been driving for 18 years you should have had the sense not to drive when you had been drinking.
If it was up to me i would"nt fine you just ban you from driving for life
