well from what I have read he made the animals trying to find a mate helper for adam but realized that adam and the animals couldnt mate he then made eve. shows me that god doesnt know all. I would think someone who could create everything from nothing would of known that man and animals dont sleep in the same bed if you get my drift.

God doesn't have an "image". Animals are a physical expression of God's "art", as are we in the sense of our physical selves. It is our spirit- our souls-our insides that is being refered to.
