Your motabolic rate can NOT be 100% accurately measured by how big you are. However, you can tell if it is fast by your eating habits. If you eat lots of meals often, but small meals and you get hungry fast, you have a fast motabolism. If you eat only about 3 meals and no snacks, but you eat a lot, you have a slow motabolism because it takes your body longer to digest your food and get hungry.

Usually, people with higher metabolic rate are active, slim, lose weight faster and can digest food quicker. If you are slim, experience difficulty in gaining quality weight, feel hungry more often, slim and are always in a rush, you probably have a faster metabolism. For accurate measurements, consult a physician or a sports/fitness professional.

If you have a lot of energy, and you get hungry and eat a lot but don't ever gain weight, you have a fast metabolism. If you have trouble losing weight, but gain it very easily and don't have much energy, it's slow.
