You shouldn't stop eating! If you go more than 3.5 hours without eating something (healthy that is...like cucumbers and cottage cheese or almonds and red peppers) your body will go into starvation mode and store everything as fat. That is why they say to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Each main meal consisting of veggies, lean proteins and a small small bit of carbs, like rice or a potato. Snacks being veggies and protein...like 3 cheese slices and a bunch of carrot sticks.
I lost 54 lbs, but it took me 9 months. Check out my before and after picture here http://www.healthandstrength.net
It is safe to lose 1-2 lbs a week. In 56 days, it would be HEALTHY to lose about 8-16 lbs. Any more than 16 and you will likely gain it back.
Here is what I did to lose my weight!!!!
1. NEVER EVER ate sugar. It's a poison that makes us older, sicker, fatter and tired...all things we dont want. Seriously, sugar is the one who does the dirty work in weight gain. Stop eating it all together. You can see my list of ingredients to avoid when shopping here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweeka.htm...
2. Drink ALOT of water. 2-3 liters a day. The more the merrier! We need about half our body weight in ounces JUST for regular body functions! When you feel thirsty, that means you are already dehydrated and lose brain function. Water flushes toxins from your fat cells and keeps you younger.
3. Exercise!!! So very important. Here http://www.healthandstrength.net/abexe.htm... are my favorite ab exercises. I also do cardio 4-5 days a week for about 30 minutes a time.
4. Eat less. How many calories do you think is in that burger or that plate of fries or in that handful of chips. What about overfilling our plates? If you go here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweek.htm... I wrote something about saving on calories and losing weight.
5. Go to sleep before 10pm. Your body starts repairing and rebuilding and speeding up weight loss while you sleep only if you sleep at about 10pm. If you are awake and go to bed at 12, you miss out on that very important time.
6. BE POSITIVE. Be thankful every day and love yourself
7. BE CONSISTANT! That I think is the KEY to losing weight. So what if you went a week and only lost a pound...or didnt lose any...KEEP going. DON'T stop. This is a lifelong commitment, so stick to it and one day you will open your eyes and need a new wardrobe!
8. Eat more veggies and skinny friendly foods. I have my list of my top ten foods that I ate to lost weight here http://www.healthandstrength.net/tenfoods.htm...
80% veggies at every meal including breakfast will keep you young and help you lose weight.
Good luck! Any other questions, you can email me at melissa@healthandstrength.net

Well I won't guarantee that you'll lose exactly 26 lbs in 56 days but I can tell you that you can significantly change your body in about 6 weeks simply by eating more veggies and low fat proteins. Cut out any sodas, even diet. No junk. Nothing white, bread/pasta/etc. Cut the caffiene because it can cause you to hold fluids. Up your water intake and get moderate exercise. You don't have to over do it. Three 15 minutes walks a day will give your metabolism more of a boost than an hour walk will do. Light weights will build your muscle. Do some research on Mark Thurmond's approach. It's very successful. Godloveya.

If you don't eat a lot then that could be it. I was trying to lose weight and so I cut down my eating a lot and I think my body thought I was starving and I lost a little but then didn't lose anything. When I started eating more I started losing weight. Now I've lost approx. 60 lbs. in 8 months. All I do is I eat healthy. I eat whenever I'm hungry and just enough to fill me up so I eat about 5-7 small meals a day. I work out 3 times a week in order to tone my body. If you eat foods like oatmeal (and other healthy grains), vegetables, fruits, nuts, yogurt, lean meats then they should fill you up and you should start to see results. But, the not eating will definitely keep you from losing weight even though you think the opposite will happen or as soon as you start eating again you'll probably gain more than you had to begin with so it's just easier to do it in a healthy way and gain those healthy habits.

When confronting all of the "quick and easy" weight loss diet pill suggestions, remember, if something sounds too good to be true... it probably is, particularly if you have to pay for it.
These are my thoughts as a physician and athlete.
Don't target losing more than about 2 lbs per week. If you try to lose faster, your body will go into "starvation mode" and get very stingy about burning calories while at the same time very efficient about storing any calories that you do provide. And it will make you feel awful.
The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
For more detailed suggestions, you are welcome to look at my 360 Blog of September 10.

eat healthy, don't starve and workout at least three times a week that will help you lose 2-3lbs/week so that's a very attainable goal in two months you'll be fine, you'll just need to tone a bit after

Eat healthy and exercise.
If you want to go on a very good diet, go to www.weightwatchers.com- you buy a book, and it says apple=1 point, bagof chips= 3 points, and you decide how much points you get in a day- its really a great diet.

there are many ways to loose weight. i recommend you eat special K of Kellogg's cereal, as breakfast and dinner, and have a normal lunch. you would also have to exercises to loose some weight, walking and running helps a lot. you can also lift weights, 5 sets of 20 repetitions.
if you stop eating your body will start storing more then what it needs.
good luck
