The minimum is 12min in your target heart rate, ie. 65 to 85% of your maximum heart rate (220 - your age = estimated max HR).
12 min in your target heart zone for five days a week will bring all the cardio benefits, improve your current aerobic capacity and burn more fat. As you progress, you may increase the daily exercise to 40-45 min 4-5 days a week for maximum cardiovascular benefits.

Every day for 20 minutes minimum.
The Kimkins athletic certified athletic trainer says it doesn't matter if you break that time into 2 sessions.
