i think you should throw away your scales and judge yourself based on different criteria; how do you feel? when you bend over, does anything hurt or get in the way? are your clothes comfortable? can you run around the block without calling 911?can you go up and down the stairs three times in a row without collapsing half way up the fourth time?
in other words, how much you way says nothing about your personal health. you should be more concerned with what your body can do, since it is a tool for your spirit. if your body can do what you want/need it to do without hurting or failing you, then you're at the perfect BMI for you
also, as a young woman, you don't want to be too thin. many people think you're supposed to gain weight as you get older, but in fact, you are supposed to gradually lose it as you lose muscle mass. If you're too thin to begin with, it may mean serious health problems later, particularly for women.
further, your weight does not tell you what you are weighing. i"m 5'6" and 120 lbs. but most of that is flab. if i was in good shape, I'd weigh closer to 130 lbs, but i'd look thinner because the extra weight would be muscle rather than flab.
i'm 46 and when i was your age, i was 135 lbs. i was athletic then, and i have never had a problem or a concern about my weight until recently when i realised how much muscle i've lost and how much that has aged me. just concentrate on being physically fit and you'll weigh what you need to
keep well

There are different factors for weight; your age, height, bone structure (small, med., large) and gender. Also, are you mostly fat or do you have muscle mass. Muscle weighs more than fat.
For a 16 year old girl, at 126 you sound just right, if not on the slim side. I don't know your bone structure, so that makes it hard. But, I suggest you not concern yourself with your weight. What IS important is that you eat healthy; enough protien, calcium, etc. Stay away from high fat foods, sodas, empty calories. Get enough exercise and drink a lot of water.

I am the same height and weigh 140. People tell me all the time that i"m too skinny. I wear a size 8 or 10 depending on the brand. I would say you could actually add some more weight on and still be fine. Stop searching for the "ideal"weight. There really is none.

Don't think for a second that you are overweight. Remember that you are above average height, so when your 5' 2" girl friends share with you that they weigh 110 or less, put that into perspective.
I bet your girl fiends tell you how what a great body you have all the time. Listen to them and don't let your insecurities dismiss these genuine complements. They did a study on self image years ago. They showed young women that thought they were too fat photos of girls without showing their faces. They would ask the girls which ones they thought were overweight and which were fine and which were too skinny. Most chose images of themselves (without the face showing) as just right. However, when shown photos of themselves with their faces, they thought they looked fat.
5'8" 126 pounds? Most women would kill for that body. You look marvelous, darling - give yourself permission to celebrate it.

your probably on the thinner side. what size clothes do you wear? its really hard answer with out an image.
if you really are serious, you can send me a pic, i will give you an honest answer as a photographer. if you do not want to, maybe a detailed measurments or picture of someone with your body type.
as a photographer i can even manipulate you image so you can see what you would look like a little thinner or heavier.

jogging is the best way to lose fat. Go on a 1800 calorie diet. Remember, if you starve yourself your metabolism will be bad and youll only get fatter.
