Surround sound system is Sony AV System linked to a Samsug 32" Plasma

On the laptop there is a 15-pin external monitor port

The TV has loads of things on the back of it
3 Component In connections

PC In - Audio and 15 Pin

Get a cord that connects from the headphone output to the white and red input plugs on your surround sound receiver or t.v. You can get it at Radio Shack for about $7-10.

Use headphone -out jack on laptop to any AUX - in on your reciever. Adjust laptop volume about a third to half way up. You dont need to run thru your tv, as the extra wiring can create buzzes, humming, etc.
