By stupid people I mean people who can't speak for themselves or think for themselves. We all have been given brains for a reason, why do people believe what they hear rather than researching on a topic for themselves? That is why I have so much respect for people who opinionated and strong in their beliefs but still open-minded to hearing other people's thoughts.

I won't call them stupid people, though. I call such people you've described "dead leaves". Why ? They got no will or opinion of their own, they follow the crowd, they repeat what someone has said.
When you ask them for an opinion they shrug their shoulders and reply " Dunno ".
Such people are indeed irritating, but I don't hate them. I pity them. Don't know how they can drift along in life like that.
They get blown away by strong winds and moving water: meaning other people with strong wills and voices run their lives.
It's pathetic. These ppl need to go for some self confidence or assertiveness workshop.
Perhaps if they read up more, did their own research and surf the net more, instead of watching stupid shows on tv, they'd become better in time.

There are no stupid people. Just misinformed or lack of information. Or just people who do not know what you may know when asked the same question. That makes us all so unique. What one person knows should be shared with others who do not. It is a gift to know something and share it with another. Not a reason to get angry but an opportunity to share knowledge. Many people that do not speak up for themselves is due maybe to an abusive childhood. Don't get mad at them; just help them out. Offer a helping hand as a good human being...

Being opinionated doesnt always mean u are right. Some people speak of their wisdom and knowledge so much that their words become empty. I find that the people you speak of who dont question things are both "stupid" and very boring. It is easy to have an opinion it's alot harder to learn, evolve and to change your point of view. I respect these people the most.

It can be annoying when a person doesn't like to think for themselves. However, it can run deeper than the rest of the world knows. Fredrick Douglass was considered very ignorant and he didn't even stand up for himself out of fear (initially). Obviously that's worst case scenerio but a lot of people who don't speak up are scared. It just takes a little more time to bring them out of their shell.

don't get me started. i can go on forever how much i hate stupid people. it's not even the people who don't speak for themselves but those who don't have common sense is who makes me mad. then there are the emotional that anger me, then the ones that can't speak up (e.g. when a girl and guy go to dinner and i ask them what would you like to drink and the girl responds to the guy and not to me and the guy has to repeat what she just said) seriously, if all the stupid people in the world just dropped dead right now, how many people would be still alive. not a lot. i think i just hate people in general.

I've heard it said where I work, that; "stupid people who don't ask questions, remain stupid,...and there are no stupid questions.....!"
Consider if you will, that not all folks possess an intelligence quotient high enough to understand everything they could read. Simply asking and taking given knowledge is easier than learning on ones own.

during my time in the military I came up with a theory. I call this the universal theory of stoopid people:
Everyone is stupid to some degree.
Most of us are stupid some of the time
the some that are stupid most of the time are the ones that get us killed

Well, when people are bombarded by 24 hour media telling them what to do, think, eat, sleep, etc., then some people will just fall over and be sheeple. I do not comply. Resistance is NOT futile!
