can i pass 230v dc through saturated saltwater, by two copper plates placed 3cm apart? Will there be any explosion??

The amount of heat generated will be a function of the resistance of the load on the source, and the surdface area of the plates. If you have a connected load of high resistance, not much heat will be generated. If you are short circuiting a 230 volt source capable of supplying high current, I predict you could generate enough heat to produce steam.

It depends on the conductivity of ur saturated salt soln.
If its of high conc. and high resistivity. Intense heat ll b liberated and chances of explosion
