Your best bet is to use iTunes.
If you don't have it, you can download it from the Apple site. It is free.
Then, when you have it up and running, go to the "iTunes Store." There, you can do a search for podcasts. Try searching for "Spanish Language" using the search bar at the top right of the program. Several different ones come up, and most all of them will be free. You don't need an iPod to listen to them, but you will need to use iTunes on your computer. Transferring them to open mp3 files will be an entirely different problem if you decide to go that route, but you can ask about that later.
When you download the podcast, it may say the current one is for "lesson 34" or some other class that's a lot further on than lesson 1. That's alright, in most cases the older classes will still be available. Just tell iTunes to download all of the classes for that podcast.
Good luck!

I want to congratulate you for your wish to learn Spanish. Well done!
But I must tell you that you are dreaming. There is no such thing. From websites programs can be free, but they are not effective. The language you will learn there will make you look like a person who had a stroke. The ONLY effective way is to hire a teacher, from Spain if possible, or enroll in a good school.
Besides, you must practice, practice, practice
