Yes, you can get the flu, because the flu shot contains a dead form of the flu that raises your body's immunity so it shouldn't get sick from the flu.

For some people yes and for other no. I got the flu shot twice once in 2003 and I got very sick so the very next year I didn't get it and i didn't get sick. In 2005 I got it again and I got very sick again, I was down both times for almost 10 days. Because I am asthmatic i am supposed to get the flu shot every year but after betting sick twice my doctor told me not to get it ever again because some people are allergic to it.

It can. A flu shot is essentially a "dead" form of a flu strain. Your body sees it, attacks it, and from that learns what that particular flu strain is all about. That way, when the real thing comes, your body already knows it and is immune.
The problem is if the strain isn't completely dead. Generally speaking, while its never good to get the flu, the flu you might get from the shot is far less potent than the live strain you might catch.

You can, and I have, get mild flu like symptoms. It is nothing severe, not enough to warrant missing work or anything. Just feeling a bit under the weather and not quite right for a couple of days while your body attacks the virus introduced inside you when you got the shot. Nothing compared to the actual flu. Good luck!

I got a flu shot Friday morning, and by Friday night, my arm was hurting pretty bad. Then yesterday, I had a headache and my whole body hurt; I spent most of the day in bed. I'm up this morning, but my head still hurts.

Stay away from it unless you're in dire need. It's basically a polititcally correct vaccination, and too much of these things will cause harm.
