Most would say Bruce Lee. I would agree he was a great martial artist, not just an actor.
My personal pick would be Toshitsugu Takamatsu. He not only was the first to have brought together nine koryu arts together that eventually became known as Bujinkan today, he also has killed over a hundred men in his lifetime. He had also fought 12 fights to the death as the result of challenges.

Fedor Emelinanko. He would kill pretty much every names that has been mentioned here, even bruce Lee!
Most dangerous martial artist ever would be Mirko Filipovic. He's close to be as good as Fedor if not as good. Plus he have been in military and on special force team. So he have weapons, military tactic, and other knowledges. Let see bruce Lee try take on him from 1,000 yards away with Mirko armed with all military gears.

I would say Bruce Lee. Not just from watching his movies, but any other person / actor, who is in martial arts that is interviewed, says he was the greatest.

Bruse Lee okay his films mad him famous but he was also a philospher and understood the need for education as well physical strength - this he called his experiment in human endurance. Let face it these limits are being extended and improved on every year by some one in one area or another. Knowledge is the key

Miyamoto Musashi, the swordsman who was never defeated and died of old age. He would often use wooden swords against real swords in battles to the death, and a battle to the death is something we never see attempted by movie stars and "masters", whomsoever they may be.
