The only lariat I know of is Fords F-150 XLT Lariat, which is the top of the line so to speak. Power windows, power seats, tilt, cruse the hold ball of wax.

In the days of cowboys and indains, cowhands made a type of rope from rawhide stips that were also called a lariat.

Its a type of Ford pick-up... haha. Also it is the same thing as a lasso, a rope to catch young calves with on the farm from the back of a horse.
