It's for a 2 and a 1/2 year old so no elmers gule. Does any one have a name of a product that works really well and washs out evenchialy

As far as hair gel, the best I have ever used is Nexxus Exxtra Gel. I've used many different gels over my life and this one is the best because:
1) Holds the longest
2) Does NOT turn flaky, (ie. you won't get that dandruff look)
3) A little goes a long way.

I would suggest using the gel first and then using some good hairspray afterwards if you want your hair to stay put for a long time.

Yes, the Nexxus gel washes out just fine. Just hit the hairstyle with some strong hair spray after you put the spikes in with the gel.

old school punks would use elmers glue or the like. it'll keep it up for quite some time. you might have troubles sleeping till you get used to it, though.

They have hair wax that I think works really well.
