Just read this interesting post on another Q:

"Yes, I agree. There is only one true religion according to the Bible. The bible says you will know the false religions by their works. False religion

Meddles in war and politics.
Spreads false doctrine
Tolerates immoral sex."

Just to remind any people that believe the same thing, Ted Haggard had a weekly conference call with the president and we shalln't even go into his somewhat dubious sex life.

Does this mean his form of christianity was false?

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this. I wasn't thinking just Haggard, tho. There are plenty of 'spritual leaders' who diddle with children. Disgusting, no? Glad to know all our christian friends (the REAL ones) can now safely opt out of those particular forms of their religion.

"Meddles in war and politics" - ummm....don't all types of 'christians' except the Jehovah's Witnesses do this?

Well, now that you're all converting to JW's, we'll lose the whole stupid 'merry christmas' thing on Yule, won't we?

Evangelical Christianity has some religious shortcomings -- because it is not Roman Catholicism, which I believe contains the fullness of religious truth.

But Evangelical Christianity does get a lot of things right -- and Ted Haggard's behavior doesn't invalidate any of this. It simply means that, like the rest of us, he is a flawed human being.

Don't you just love how the same pro-gay crowd that always preaches tolerance and non-judgmentalism, are now being incredibly judgmental toward Haggard?

I guess that in their minds, one should either be judgmental or nonjudgmental -- depending on whether the person is an active homosexual or a Christian clergyman.

Well, of all my readings over the years I must say that:

Islam does not fit any of these.

1. One of the reason why Islamic countries do not do well in the world..they dont know how to do politics.

2. Islam spreads the faith of One God. And only an atheist would challenge that.

3. Most Muslims would shun their own kids in the event the kids go about sleeping with other people like its a normal thing.

So I guess Islam looks not so false...according to your theory.

If what Ted Haggard or anyone else is advocating or preaching doesn't conform to the Bible, get rid of it. Hold onto what Jesus taught us and keep that alone as our standard.

Having said that, I think Christians owe it to Ted Haggard to pray for him to get right with God, instead of just kicking him while he's down and refusing to help him or let him do what he needs to restore his relationship with God. Check out the blog entry I just posted about our obligation to pray for Haggard and all other pastors.

The last verse is a prophecy that will occur soon.

Mat 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
Mat 7:16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
Mat 7:17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.
Mat 7:18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

most religions that are organised are based on falsehoods ...
we see it in the greed of the BIG churches .we see it when a christian preseident starts a war we see it when the radical muslims kill like in 9-11 all in the name of some religion .....it is indeed messed up and false .
frankly i would feel like i was in hell if i had to follow any religion ,
i like to believe that a TRUE God is all loving and all these dictates and teachings from all these churches are crazy ,
the whole law is love God and love others like yourself ,,,,,,NONE of these religions do this if you do not think or belong then they simply throw out well your going to hell .
but for humans to RECOGNISE false religion that aint happening is it >??????????they are to busy feeling superior and RIGHT !

One thing Jesus will do when he returns, is get rid of "false religion" along with anyone practicing it.

What is false religion?

Why does religion seem to be at the root of so many problems?
The fault lies, not with all religion, but with “false” religion.

False Religion...MEDDLES IN WAR AND POLITICS: How many religions can you think of whose members engage in war?

False Religion...SPREADS FALSE DOCTRINE: Most religions teach that the soul of spirit is some invisible part of a human that survives the death of the physical body. However, the Bible teaches a different doctrine. “The soul that is sinning, it itself will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 Jesus taught that the dead will be resurrected, an unnecessary action if humans had an immortal soul. Does your religion teach that the soul does not die?

False Religion...TOLERATES IMMORAL SEX: Church groups ordain gay and lesbian members of the clergy. What, though, does the Bible teach? It plainly states: “Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men.” 1 Cor. 6:9,10 Do you know of religions that condone immoral sex?

How to identify true religion.

True Religion...PRACTICES LOVE: True worshippers are “no part of the world,” are not divided by race or culture, and display “love among themselves.” Rather than killing one another, they are willing to die for one another.

True Religion...TRUSTS GOD'S WORD: Instead of teaching “tradition” and “commands of men as doctrines,” true religion bases its doctrine on God's Word, the Bible

True Religion...STRENGTHENS FAMILIES AND UPHOLDS HIGH MORAL STANDARDS: True religion trains husbands to “love their wives as their own bodies,” helps wives to develop “deep respect for their husbands,” and teaches children to “be obedient to their parents.”

True Religion is available, search for it.

I think religion in general is getting ready for some BIG changes (been going through some major changes already with more to come).....Perhaps the end of the earth is coming or perhaps people are starting to figure out the "old school" way of teaching religion is simply not working for them any longer. I think we as humans just want to live our lives and be happy......And with a religion staring you in the face telling you that most of the things that bring joy to you are wrong.....I think it is just a matter of time before people are fed up with it's teachings............I personally feel God has sent me hear to enjoy all the wonderful things he has created for me..........And that is exactly what I intend to do.........Don't need someone telling me my feeling are not real.

Considering that there is only one true form of Christianity, which is the doctrine of the Cross, Ted Haggard became lost and full of his own wisdom, therefore he fell to power corruption as does all Christian leaders like him. I don't believe we need such people, what we need are preachers who teach the word of God, subsequently, followers should vote like Christians. But too many Christians don't vote for conservatives, too many Christians compromise the principles of the Lord's doctrine because of their own little pet peeves. This is why we have a country that is circling the drain.

This means it was "His" beliefs only...not every ones.
The Bible warns of false prophets. We just have to go with our own beliefs and listen with our hearts.Just because others tell you what is right, doesn't always mean "they" are..
