Well, while I sympathies with your reason for asking, as a Christian I want nothing to do with mecca.

this is a holy place for Muslims. So is Medina. Saudi Arabia isn't a vacationer charm. If there have been Kaafurs or non Muslims traveling Mecca wa Medina then it does no longer be sacred and holy to Muslims anymore. Plus while Kaafurs have been allowed interior Mecca there have been some Jews who tried blowing up the Masjid of Muhammad(observed) and the Kabba. So the Caliph at that element made the regulation that persons of the e book and non Muslims can never enter Medina wa Mecca.

Its a precaution that goes to an extreme by the Saudi Government.
the following link shows the Islamic ruling on allowing non muslims to enter mosques:
1. non muslims can enter any mosque (and consequently any city) apart from the Holy Mosque in Makkah. They must also enter with permission from Muslims.
2. They need to have a sound reason for entering.
3.They need to respect the mosque decorum and refrain from exposing parts of body that need to be covered while in a place of worship.

Yes, it's the definition of discriminatory. Pilgrims actually are required to carry proof of being Muslim with them in order to go to Mecca.
However, it's also a security issue for them. Consider the unpleasant history between them and Christendom. The Crusades are still important in their collective consciousness, even if Westerners have mostly forgotten. They also didn't fare well in the Inquisition. The year 1492 is not only the year of Columbus, it's also the expulsion of the Moors from Spain.
If you look at all the conflict over the city of Jerusalem, where Jews, Muslims, and Christians are forever fighting, then maybe it makes sense to keep out what they consider the "Infidel."
On the other hand, whenever I'm told that I can't go somewhere, the first thing I think of is how I can sneak in.

Do you want Muslims in Rome desecrating the Vatican City? I personally think that non-Muslims could not possibly appreciate the holiness of Mecca because...they arn't Muslim! And Islam is not discrimitory. I wasn't born Muslim. Anyone can become a Muslim. All you have to do is believe that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammed (p.b.u.h) is his prophet.

Is it discriminatory if I do not let you in my house? Analyze my question for a second and then you will understand why you can't go in the Mecca.

all what they do in Mecca is prying and prying so really not much going on there and you may not feel comfortable with this atmosphere if you are non-Muslim and not invited.
