The Lord said it best, "The darkness rejects the light". Throughout history, the majority of people have hated the True God and those who follow Him.

Apparently you don't frequent this forum. There are rude and insulting answers and questions being posted on a regular basis by fellow believers (all the more reason to be vocal, I believe) But, it's not directed only at Christianity, the same fools post hateful things regarding the other religions as well. I see the R & S section as an opportunity to change the typical impressions these people have about Christianity.
Blessed Be

In the time I’ve been reading the forum I’ve seen some pretty insulting questions all around. Just ignore all the insults by everybody. You can usually tell by scanning the questions if you want to ignore them, and keep searching for question worth reading.
This is a forum for everybody and if some come to help and others come to mock and ridicule, that’s just the way of the world.
My suggestion, instead of wasting time tying to change those who don’t want to change because they enjoy insulting others, just concentrate on helping where ever you can. If enough people did that, the quality of the forum would greatly improve and the insulters, if ignored, would probably go find some other forum where they can get more attention.

i feel that yes there are christians who insult other religions too.
but these christians are just christians by name.
they arent really strong in faith.
these are those who most prob wont go up during the Rapture and be left behind.
all these insults to Christianity, are just what i feel, are obstacles.
and God promised before, that if He put an obstacle infront of us, He will either help us find a way around them, or remove them totally.
have faith, through these trials, we will draw closer to Him.
and these may be put by the devil too.
thats why we need the all important prayer.
i believe religion should teach people the correct way of living life, if they are not doign that yet, or if i dont know of any.
im not very good at the Word component of Christianity, ever since i transferred church,
but as for Spirit, i guess i'm quite okay, after all its not for me to judge but for God to judge.
and and, christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with God.
(apart frm Holy Communion and Baptism, 10commandments,we have not much rules to follow, we just live our lives to please God)

There are none so blind as the man who will not see.
I know its nice to believe that no Christian has ever posted anything hateful in Yahoo answers but that would be like saying that no Klansman ever burned a cross in someones lawn or that southerner ever beat up gay people.
Religious extremist and idiots can be found in any religion.
Before you talk about the mote in my eye first remove the beam from your own.

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

There seem to be no dearth of people who insult others about their religious or spiritual beliefs. This isn't unique to Christians. I've read some incredibly insulting questions and comments about Islam, about Hinduism, and so on.
You are only responsible for your own behavior, not for that of others. So stop trying to change or control them.

Thats not true, do not blame the few people on the rest of the people in the world who want to believe things in their own way. Why is it that strict christian report everyone for abuse if they do not like the questions being asked.

If you think that "Christians" have not insulted others in here, you have some forum searching to attend to before you ask another question.

Some people are on here just to insult or ridicule other people, no matter what the subject may be. When you ask or answer a question about faith...it is more personal to you, thus any negativity towards your Q or A is received a lot harder.
I try not to pay any attention to the people on here that are just messing around or being unintelligent with their answers. Christ himself told us that we would be ridiculed and tormented for following Him....and He did mean on Yahoo Answers as well.
Don't stop asking questions or giving clear and concise answers....because you just may put someone on the right path. Good luck and God Bless.

you know what, i found one question that said "i'm a christian and i think that jews aren't good enough to live here, who agrees with me" i find that extreemely rude. you need to look harder if you haven't found any christian questions that have insulted people. everyone has a right to believe in something, even if we don't believe in others faith. do a little more research.
