He stank up the joint like a pregnant buffalo. He was so tired after each flurry that he couldn't punch for several rounds at a time. It made for a boring fight. Even at the end he almost let the fight slip away because he was so tired he could barely finish. After doing what he had to to get the win he couldn't even stand up. I like Shannon Briggs but that was a poor performance and at the weigh in he was an embarrassment calling Sergeui a fag and using the f word -- all unnecessary. I would much rather have a humble disciplined Russian champion than a vulgar out of shape American champion. I will give Briggs the benefit of the doubt that he let the moment at the weigh in get the best of him as he was gracious after the fight but I think he has to do a lot more than that to realize his true potential.

Briggs hit really hard....... Remember he shakes Lennox Lewis? I'm happy for Briggs, he deserves another shot...... but at 270 lbs (40 more than is ffight with Lewis), conditionning was awful.....
Don't forget that Liakhovich is not even close of being Lennox Lewis.... so you cannot compared them.
Lennox Lewis's jab was as powerful than the uppercut of Liskhovich...... Briggs didn't have the choice of staying away of a bigger man. It wasn'y yesterday.
I like Briggs, but Briggs won't beat Klitschko.......

he was awful. he was gasping for air in the corner after the 2nd round. after the fight, he said the "flurry" he put on sergei in the 1st round took alot out of him. geez, that was what? 20 seconds of "flurry"? this coming from a guy who proclaimed he was sparring 110 rounds...lmao. maybe he sparred 110 rounds total during his entire training camp. he did pull the trigger when he had to, and i'll give him credit for that. he also made a very boring fight somewhat memorable. but unless he can improve his stamina dramatically, he won't have much of a chance against the other champions.

He did what he had to do, being behind on points. That shows guts and character in the ring. Good to see an American holding a belt. Heavyweights unify the belts! The only way myself and many boxing fans are going to get interested in the division again.

A Sci-Fi e book that i'd advise to older adolescents and adults, is Philip ok. Dick's "Do Androids Dream of electric powered Sheep?" which became made into the movie Blade Runner. I would desire to confess that the e book does not contain that plenty romance, apart from a quick 2d in one financial disaster. It rather does have action in it nonetheless.
