It's just like our legal system. It depends on the infraction. Some things there are no second chances, others give them another chance but not many and then there are some things that they could pull almost weekly and it would just cost them a few flowers. You have determine what you can live with, what you can let go, and what is truly unforgivable.

1 if their a total screw up, 2 if u still have feelings for them and u forgive them, 3 if.......... well there ain't many 3's but if u want to give them a third go for it.
