After his title winning, brilliant display against Carlos Baldomir, can anyone seriously challenge Floyd Mayweather other than Oscar? A lot of people say Antonio Margarito, but i'm just not sold on Margarito against Floyd. Margarito doesn't have the speed or boxing skills to keep up with Mayweather and Floyd proved in the fight with Baldomir that he can cope with a bigger, stronger man. I think Oscar is not only naturally bigger but is probably the only fighter that can match Floyd in skill, hand speed and ring savvy. What do you think? Who else would be a serious threat to Mayweather?

To Frank D. You seem to have a personal vendetta against Mayweather for some reason because you tried to call me out on a question someone else asked about him a couple of months ago. But i'm not going to stoop to your level of insulting someone just because they disagree with my answer. But you need to get your facts straight before you call someone out homie. Floyd turned down the 8 mil offer from Margarito because De La Hoya had not decided what he was going to do yet and Floyd was waiting for him to make a decision on what would've been a 20 mil payday for Floyd, so why would he fight for 8 when he had a possible 20 mil mega fight in front of him? And by the way, Floyd did not make 2 mil for fighting Baldomir, he made 8 mil. Check the facts. And you are questioning Floyd's opponents? Tell me who has Margarito fought? Paul Williams has been calling him out for a while but he hasn't fought him has he? You are just a Floyd hater and that's you're right, but get you facts right!

To Frank D. And just to add one more thing, as far as my boxing knowledge goes, myself, my father and my uncle are all ex-fighters and i've followed the sport since i was 7 and am now training 3 fighters, so i do have some first-hand insight on the sport. So you can continue to be a Floyd hater but when you insult someone just because you disagree with thier answer you sound childish and you should grow up homie!

Cotto, De la Hoya, Mosley, Margarito. If you turn down 8 mil to fight Margarito there is something there lurking. I believe the guy with the best chance to beat him out of these four is Mosley.

I dont think, that DLH is that much of a threat, he's and old man and Floyd's in his prime (though it would be intersting to see FLoyd at Jr. Middle). Floyd needs to focus on the WW division right now. I think their are some serious threats already with young hungry fighters. This is why Floyd gets all the hate (no one can deny hes the most talented fighter out there) b/c he talks of his greatness but he doesnt atttempt to prove it. Here are the top 5 threats at Welter IMO (1=most threatening; 5=least): 1. Paul Williams 2. Antonio Margarito 3. Kermit Cintron 4. Winner of Cotto/Quintana 5. Luis Collazo. I would like to see any of these match ups and I give Floyd the edge in all of them, but untiul he proves himself in this division...I dont give a **** about him. Now when your talking 154 like DLH we have no idea. Can he take a puch at that weight? Can anyone hit him?

No threats at his current weight too fast and smart for anyone right now. he would do to most what he did to baldomir. mayweather is also more skilled and has faster hands and feet than oscar de la hoya. so he is not a real threat. but i also forgot oscar is way out of his prime.

I think if someone were to get Mayweather so upset, so angry, so pissed off so that he would want to fight, De la Hoya or Margarito would beat him. Duran beat SRL in the first fight b/c Sugar tried to fight toe-to-toe rather than his usual style.

Sorry, but de la Hoya couldn't hold Floyd's jock strap.

I was hoping Larry Merchant would punch him in his big mouth last night, he might stand toe to toe with Larry so he could be a real threat, he runs away from everyone else.
