I think you sound like a pretty mature person. Making a difference in the world is a huge responsability, especially when you don't know for sure at what kind of difference you are aiming at. If you want to change the world as a whole just because you feel like it needs changing, then your purpose may be too vague. You have to have a reason to determine you to change a certain aspect of the world.

Don't listen to your dad. The world obviously needs changing all of its aspects. It's not a waste of time. There should be more children like you in the world; unfortunately, most of the people that want to make a difference are undecided and lose their confidence because of people like your father. If he feels comfortable with his own situation that doesn't mean other people feel the same way.

This world does need a difference. One thing I would like to say for one thing and you may not like this but God can help you make a difference. Changing the things you say and do will make people look at you differently and wonder what you are up to or what you have.....if you are a christian well wonderful, you know what to do.
But if you change the way you do things, it will bring questions from others, and just by doing one thing different you could make a big change. By just saying No.....for instance. I hope this helps and do not feel upset with me. God bless you. You have a hard life at your age. I know. But this world is in a mess and does need help. Good luck

Well, I think your dad is a little harsh. There is a chance to make a difference, and I think that's great that you would like to make one. There are a number of things you can do. Try volunteering at a nursing home, community center, homeless shelter, or other places; that's making a difference. Talk with your school counselor or if you go to church, talk with your pastor ; i'm sure that he/she can give you some advice on things you can do to help out. Don't listen to anyone saying that you're too young to make a difference...you're never too young to help people, so don't let anyone disillusion you. Keep doing what you're doing, and keep up the good attitude!

Maybe the world does need a person to help it change but sadly 1 person can't do everything. You can help many people by becoming a doctor or something in the medil area.
P.S.
Help me spread the word: Keep the world a good place for our children of the future to live in, By 2050 the world will run out of it's natural resources, do your part keep the world clean, don't litter and recycle.Together we can make a difference

I think you have great intentions. First get as much education as you can and go into a field that helps people that is much needed and will make a difference in the world. Doctor - nurse - environmental - just to name a few save a tree or life or animal just think one life saved is a very big deal to that person or animal and to the family of that person. You will be a hero.
