Don't target losing more than about 2 lbs per week. If you try to lose faster, your body will go into "starvation mode" and get very stingy about burning calories while at the same time very efficient about storing any calories that you do provide. And it will make you feel awful.

The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.

Try a cleansing diet! I tried this and lost 11 pounds and 21 inches in 9 days. Then I continued it and lost 29 pounds in 5 weeks. The healthy way to do it, so you don't put it back on is a good diet and lots of exercise. I like the Zone diet. I lost the weight, and have kept it off. Problem with a crash quicky like losing 10 pounds in 1 week, is you will put it back on quickly if you don't stick to it....

don't do it

when you loose weight fast you loose muscle rather than fat

muscle burn 10 times as many calorie as fat

if you loose muscle it will make it more difficult to keep the weight off as you won't be able to burn enough calories. the weight will just come back as more fat

loosing 2 pounds a week is much healthier and sustainable

Crash dieting leads to other health problems. Get a body wrap - it's only temporary, but fast and harmless. Then go on a sensible diet to lose 2-3 lbs a week.

Don't eat more food than you can fit in the palm of your hand per day, run 5 miles per day, and stay up late, and eat some exlax before going to bed. That will do it!!

it is impossible to lose 10lbs in one week. If you try losing weight fast, your going to gain it all back, or even more. there are 3500 calories in one pound, how many calories do you take in a day? you have to eat less calories then what you burn a day, thats how you will lose weight.. you can't lose that much weight in one week
