When you say what goes with it are you saying, what goes into making an Entree' or what's a matching side dish to pair with the Entree'. Your brain or thinker in this case is secondary when it comes to cooking. Let's break it down a bit, what's the first thing you smell when you walk into Granma's house when she's cooking, besides that perfume that Granma's wear? An aroma, the first sense is kicking in, you open the lid and see what's cooking, second sense kicks in, visual appeal, you sit down, the 2 senses kick in again, smell and sight, boy this smells and looks good, what are you praying for Granma hasn't killed you yet with her cooking ,let's eat. BAM! third sense kicks into high gear, the one and only thing that you can trust to make or break all the other senses, your tongue, if it doesn't taste good your done, where's the dog, may I have another napkin. Bottom line, your thinker is just the helper, you remember all the good foods you've eaten, what did they have in common, Salt? Pepper? Sweet, Sour, Savory? Tomatoes, some green stuff? Chunks of some kind of veggie that was white with a green skin on it? Was that potato? You got the basics if your confused about how to "spice" it up start by tasting what's in that little can or jar and add a little and taste, mmm that's good, Bingo, Use and Trust your Tongue, it's a "No-Brainer"

menu planning .com. Just think of good balance as well when you are cooking. If your family are meat eaters, then prepare a meat, and a couple of vegetables. Salad is always good with a meal. potatoes are always versatile and can be fixed alot of different ways. You can look under recipes. com and look for certain foods like potatoes. It will pull up recipes for you to try. I hope this has helped some. Oh and don't forget the desert....We are not big on deserts, but alot of people are. Good luck.

To tell you the truth, what goes with what is really a matter of taste.
Example: I like my baked potato with butter, sharp cheddar cheese, sour cream, bacon bits and horseradish.
Some folks would omit some of these compliments. Just a matter of taste.
If you stick to a balanced meal plan you will chose what goes "together". Rely on what you like.
