I have re-bonded my hair for the last 5 years, about 4 times. Some hair stylists says the more you do the less straight it becomes. My hair of course is very dry due to the frequent re-bonding but I really love my hair to be straight.. What can I do becos I can see my hair is not that straight anymore? My last re-bonding was Dec last year

Yes, re-bonding means straigtening of the hair with chemicals and hot iron. It can make curly hair straight and it will stay straight for at least a 10 months if we take good care of it...

I have never heared of bonding, can you tell me what it is plz, I am hazarding a guess that its some sort of chemical you have put on your hair to permanently straighten it, am I right?

Additional Notes

Wow, that sounds very clever, but very harsh to your hair, I think if I were you I would give it a rest for quite a while before you decide to have it done again, I do know that naturally curly hair is the strongest anyway, but I presume that after having it done 4 times it will be rather weak now.

Rebonding works best on virgin hair, that is, hair that's never been chemically treated. That means, it starts becoming less effective from the 2nd time onwards. Now that you have rebonded your hair 4 times in 5 yrs, you need to give your hair a break, or they are going to break apart! It's dry already, it won't be able to take anymore chemical treatment at least for the next 1 yr. Take a break, take care of your hair and it'll be up again.

this is according to the hairstylist who re-bond my hair, he said at leat 6 to 7 months before your hair touches chemicals again to avoid damage..you better ask others for 2nd opinion especially now that your hair is dry..goodluck!
