what is the name of this style,

Straighten the hair, take a small amount of hair from the front, twist it so it's a little tight, as you twist it bring it backwards, then clip the swisted small amount of hair to the back of your head about an inch down (so it's not clipped on the top or on the back but in the middle) then do this to all the hair at the front of your head so all the hair is twisted but left with free frlowing straight hair at the back.

I'm sorry, i dont know how to discribe it better :(

I call that the Female Quiff.

I know it's not quiff because quiff is the pouffed exaggeration of the oler 50's haircuts.

It sounds like the stuff I see from the Melrose Place and 90210 reruns from the 80's when they just pinned their hair up all haphazard.

But, if you mean the late 90's Jenifer Aniston "Rachel" tied up do, I think it's a twisted ropelike variation on modified dredlocks which leaves your long-ish hair with a half-assed neither up nor down style.

It's trendy, youthful and shows you care enough to make the effort to try to dress up your crowning glory by being creative.

2 or 20 twists/clips depending on your mood...

Really, it's just a bunch of twisted knots and hair tails which can be jazzed up with the sparkly butterfly clips and given fullness in the back with a large-barrelled curling iron.

Twists'n'tails ???

Maybe a half of a french twist? Like what Jackie on Roseanne had while she was pregnant?
