Sad sad thing but it is possible. I just don't understand it. The way I see it a person must really hate themselves if they can't love a child and especially their own child. Me personally, I couldn't not love my children. They mean everything in the world to me and so much more. I gave birth to those angels and looking at them, I can't imagine my life without them in it. I feel bad for those that can't feel that kind of love. It's just sad.

Very sadly we have such young girls having babies and trying to raise them that we have alot of parents unable tolove their children. Especialy if they have not been raised and taught how to love. I have that situation i my own family right now. The mom of my grandaughter walked out on her and her dad. She had ssaid before that that she would be happy if the dad would give the baby for adoption to her family then it could just be them again. The sad thing is she was molested by her mom's boyfirends and her mom lost custody of her. Then the dad when she was 15 going on 16 met a woman who did not want to raise kids and so he gave her a signature on a marriage license for her 16 birthday. Now the kids are divorcing and dad has baby with mom nt interested and baby has no interest in mom. It is sad and I feel bad for the mom she does not know ny better, She could never accept the love I tried to show her as my daughter-in-law. The world is becoming a big orgy place and condoning sex at earlier and earlier ages is creating this problem. More of the girls would be better off giving the babies up for adoption and trying to finish school and learning from their mistake. we have a very sad worls when it comes to how our children our future are being raised and concieved.

Sure. It is possible. But it's not the children's fault.
Sometimes it's not the parent's fault either. Consider the case of post-partum depression, where a woman who has given birth goes into a mental and emotional funk. In that circumstance, it might seem like she doesn't love the children.
I'm assuming you're talking about a non-violent and non-abusive situation, but if either of those are occurring, you need to report everything to children's services immediately. Children can't help themselves, so they need observant people to help from time to time.

yes. i have a friend that acts like she hates her two kids (one is 3 and the other is a newborn - 3 months) she treats her 3 year old like he is the scum of the earth and only cares for her newborn b/c she has to and doesn't have anyone else who will (she's the type to get into a relationship and use the other person for their money, babysitting needs, drugs, and sexual pleasure.) people like her should be fixed like we fix our dogs and cats. i dont see how anyone could not love their children though. i have a 1 year old and he is the center of my universe. he is everything to me and i would not trade having him for anything on this planet.

I guess it is possible. I've heard of that before. Those type of people should not have children. Because they may hurt or kill them. I can't imagine it because I love children. It could be just a temporary thing. I heard of people saying I love my children but I don't like them.

It is possible but not fair! You know how some parents kill their children? Do you call that love?

YES - at least immediately after their birth, for example, when they are unwanted/accidental or reminding painful memories/experiences of any kind. This may prolong if there is no later opportunity for repair.

I think it is very possible. People too can abandon their children as fast as any other species. Weather it be emotionally or physically.

I think it is possible, but I don't understand it. I even know it is possible to love your child because they are your child, but HATE them as a person.

I am a very pround, and loving father to my 2 grown up boys, but I think that while it may be a rarity, there are parents out there that do despise their kids. (SAD) Isn't it?
