Hi
You can travel to the UK with a Irish Visa however you cannot work there. You can get your UK Visa after you have finished working in Ireland.

You can get to UK cheaply using either Ryanair or Aer Lingus airlines. Check out their websites.
An alternative to flying is ferry from Dublin to Blackpool. But it works out the same nearly in price if you flew into London.

Ryanair doesnt fly into Heathrow so you need to add travel time to that flight.

Members of the EU i.e Ireland and England, can live and work in other EU countries without a visa.
So yes.
